Mystic Aquarium
Mystic, CT

These are just a couple of pictures of the entrance to Mystic Aquarium.

We didn't go in, but we could tell it would be a really nice and informative place to go.

It's called an Institute for Exploration and one visit is not enough.

There is too much to see and do. They offer memberships so you can come back again and again.

Mystic Aquarium

The most popular attraction there is the Sealion Show, which is held outside in the Marine Theater.

They have a Waterfront Cafe if you get hungry, or you can bring your own picnic, and eat in the picnic area.

They have a gift shop with a great selection of books, gifts, videos, clothing and souvenirs. If you have to leave they will stamp your hand so you can return. There is plenty of parking available.

While we were there, they were featuring an interactive game called, Shark Predator Prey, a special exhibit on the Titanic, and an Immersion Project, where you travel into strange worlds in the deep, deep sea.

We didn't stop to notice how much it cost to get in, we thought it would be on their brochure. But it's a nice place to spend a hot summer day.

Mystic Lodging

While we were in the area, we noticed several hotels and motels, if you turn north after you exit 90 off of I-95. Such as the Mystic Hilton, Comfort Inn, Days Inn, Residence Inn and a Best Western.
